본상 다음으로 주목받는 상은 장르별 최고의 아티스트와 프로듀서 등에게 시상하는 '장르 필드' 상이다. 작년에 한국 그룹 BTS가 3년 연속 2개 부문에 노미네이트되면서(후보로 오르면서) 굉장한 이슈가 되었는데, 그때 후보에 오른 부문이 바로 오늘 소개할 부문 중 하나인 '베스트 팝 듀요/그룹 퍼포먼스'다.
오늘 글에서는 필드1: 팝, 댄스, 일렉트로닉 부문 수상자들을 소개하려 한다.
지난 글에서 소개했던 '올해의 레코드'에 선정된 Miley Cyrus의 Flowers는 '베스트 팝 솔로 퍼포먼스'에 선정되었고, '올해의 앨범'에 선정된 Taylor Swift의 Midnights는 '베스트 팝 보컬 앨범'에 선정되었다. Fred Again..은 '베스트 댄스/일렉트로닉 레코딩'과 '베스트 댄스/일렉트로닉 뮤직 앨범'을 모두 휩쓸었다.
베스트 팝 솔로 퍼포먼스(Best Pop Solo Performance)
수상: Flowers - Miley Cyrus
이 곡은 발매 첫 주에 9,600만회가 넘는 스트리밍 횟수를 기록했다. 이는 스포티파이에서 '1주일간 가장 많이 재생된 노래'라고 한다. 틱톡에서 굉장히 많이 쓰였던 노래로, 현재 '스포티파이에서 가장 빨리 스트리밍 1억 회가 된 노래'다.
후렴구는 Bruno Mars의 'When I was your man' 일부 가사 내용에 대한 답가처럼 구성되어 있는게 흥미롭다.
(전 남편 리암 헴스워드와의 결혼식장에서 울려퍼졌던 노래라고 한다. 발매일인 1월 13일은 그의 생일이라고 한다.)
